A workshop package for senior leaders, designed to help align key stakeholders on a proposal, project or strategy through co-designing a strategic visual framework that brings it all together

Context

As a strategic illustrator, I work with CEO’s of Not-for-profits, Heads of Sustainability and Global ESG Leads at the ‘pointy’ end of projects when they need help visualising the final strategic framework.

Usually, stakeholders from the C-suite, marketing and the area of change e.g the sustainability team are involved in deciding what words, imagery, and formats are crucial for the final frameworks design.

Discussion isn’t always about the aesthetic. More so, conscious choices that strategically represent what’s really being communicated.

And this process takes time because each stakeholder group brings their own inputs and influences.

But what I’ve realised is, it’s the process of conceptual refinement (the back and forth of discussion and debate) is what actually helps create stakeholder alignment!

So in my experience, a successful strategic framework is one where all stakeholders land on the same page (literally!)

What is the 'landing on the same page' workshop?

A workshop package that will give you a visual strategic framework that all key stakeholders are aligned on. Use it as a strategic communications tool to visually summarise your proposal, project or strategy, ready to use in your proposal slide pack, project report or strategy document.

Who needs to attend the workshops?

  • Representatives from the C-suite or the decision making group

  • Area of change - Head of Sustainability, ESG Lead, Program Manager, Project leader

  • Head or Director of Marketing and brand

Why should I do this?

To accelerate the conceptual refinement of the visual strategic framework (what’s on the page) and as a result, deepen the stakeholder alignment on your proposal, project or strategy.

Where does it take place?

Workshop preparation: online

Workshop 1: 2-3 hours in-person at your office in a large room with plenty of wall space

Workshop 2: 1 hour Online

Visual design, development and delivery: online

Outcomes

  • Preparation

    I’m provided with the ‘content’ of your proposal, project or strategy.

    This includes things like the relevant content, data, key messages and brand guidelines.

    I synthesise these key ‘ingredients’ into the foundational elements of the strategic framework for workshop 1.

    Outcome: Workshop 1 agenda, content and materials prepared

  • Co-design

    I facilitate a 2-3 hour in-person co-design workshop with your key stakeholders from the C-suite/ decision-making team, marketing/brand and the area of change e.g sustainability.

    We’ll use design thinking activities to support discussion amongst key stakeholders to align on the rough draft of the visual framework.

    Outcome: Aligned rough draft of the visual framework

  • Development

    After workshop 1, I’ll use the agreed-upon rough draft of the visual framework to develop it into an illustrated colour visual (draft 1).

    Outcome: Draft 1 of the strategic visual framework 

  • Refinement

    I’ll facilitate a 1 hour online group critique of draft 1 of the visual framework.

    We’ll use a design thinking activity to surface all stakeholder feedback.

    We’ll then synthesise these thoughts and comments into top-level themes to identify what needs to change on the visual framework.

    Outcome: Agreed alignment on the list of changes to be made

  • Finalisation

    I implement the changes and refinements to the strategic visual framework. 

    Once finalised, it’s emailed to you as a png file (and an editable file if required).

    Note: additional edits and feedback beyond this are an hourly rate
